Summary: The story of Auron — warrior monk, guardian, legend — and the family he left behind.

Notes: This story is actually two, written in parallel. The primary plot begins with my conception of Auron’s back story. It is written in first person POV and starts approximately seven years before Braska’s pilgrimage. The secondary plot, written in third person, is set seven years after the events of FFX, five years after the “good ending” of FFX-2. Contains characters from both games as well as a number of original characters. Major spoilers for FFX, minor spoilers for FFX-2.

Metadata: Primary pairing is Auron/OC. Secondary pairings include Paine/Baralai and Tidus/Yuna. Rated PG-13. Originally published from April 2005 through December 2005.
