I love the description of Ixion, right down to the little shuffle-stamp. It also reminds me that I get entirely too blasé about the incredible things we see in FF games — aeons are beautiful, charismatic, dramatic, but sometimes I forget just what psychological impact it would have to see these incredible beings appear. Of course, in a world filled with fiends and pyreflies and places like Djose temple, not to mention Sin, the population is used to a greater level of wonderment than our world holds, but still.

I continue to wish Paine would smack Nooj for clamming every time he starts to open up.

It was good to see Yuna and guardians take the spotlight for a bit, especially Wakka in all his prickiness. This is a fascinating FFX/X2 story in that it really is about the secondary characters; the original game’s party *are* the secondary characters, except for Auron.

Also good to see Auron’s moment of doubt, despite all his planning.
