Yikes. Very dramatic and pivotal chapter. Intriguing that on the one hand, Auron drove Nooj to walk away without even a goodbye to Paine or a thought for Gippal and Baralai (which shocks me), and on the other hand, Nooj's irrationally forced Auron to lay all his cards on the table.

It was a powerful, memorable moment when Auron deliberately let Nooj walk through him, and let himself nearly disappear. Quite a risk to take to make Nooj see reason.

Nooj is younger than I realized. I, too, had forgotten the game makes him out to be only two years older than Tidus and Yuna at the time of the Crimson Squad debacle.

I'm glad Nooj and Auron finally managed to hash this out. Oddly, I find this Nooj more unnerving than X-2's. One can't blame Shuyin for his erratic behavior. Being overshadowed by Auron definitely doesn't help either, of course.

In other words, you don't pull punches in showing the flaws in a favorite character! Although your other stories don't have quite this Nooj.
